Milestones of Impact
Registered as a society, laying the foundation for community transformation.
Work officially began with a focus on building trust and relationships within the community; health initiatives were introduced.
- Addressed critical basic needs:
- Installed drinking water pipelines and storage tanks.
- Constructed 4 community toilets, replacing unsafe and undignified open practices.
- Focus on education and awareness.
- Identification of children for educational support.
- Launch of informal education programs.
- Initiated literacy programs for women, encouraging dignity and independence.
- Formation of community health worker groups**, strengthening grassroots healthcare delivery.
In partnership with KHW, launched the Sewing Program, marking the beginning of structured women’s empowerment initiatives
- Acquired land to expand operations.
- Teaching began under a eucalyptus tree, with a converted bulb factory serving as office, clinic, and classroom.
- Initiated machine embroidery training.
- Began construction of the SNEHA school building (4 classrooms) with support from the Australian High Commission, Delhi.
- Launched the TB Control Program.
- Started HIV/AIDS awareness program in partnership with the government.
- Introduced soft toy making and artificial jewellery training.
- Provided mid-day meals to ~60 children.
- Affiliation granted for Classes I–V in March 1999, marking the beginning of formal education.
- Affiliation extended to Classes VI–VIII June, 1999, expanding academic reach.
- Introduced block printing and beauty parlour training.
- Constructed the first floor of SNEHA Doon Academy.
Began Mehendi training program

Introduced bag-making training
Affiliation extended to Classes IX–X, strengthening secondary education.
Affiliation extended to Classes XI–XII, completing the full school structure.
Implementation of RTE (Right to Education), reinforcing commitment to inclusive education.
Partnership with Saphara (Ireland) began.
Establishment of the Irish Hall with support from Irish Aid, Delhi.
Construction of the back wing.
